Super Lumb Meat
Super Lump crab meat is a premium grade of crab meat that sits between Jumbo Lump and regular Lump in the hierarchy of crab meat grades. Here’s a comprehensive overview:
Super Lump crab meat consists of broken pieces of jumbo lump with large flakes of white meat. It’s primarily harvested from the large unbroken muscles connected to the swimming legs of the crab, specifically from the Blue Swimming Crab (Portunus pelagicus).
Jumbo Meat
Jumbo lump crab meat is considered the premium grade of crab meat, prized for its impressive size, bright white color, and exquisite taste. It comes specifically from the two large muscles connected to the swimming fins of the crab. Each crab only has two of these muscles, which is why jumbo lump is relatively scarce and commands higher prices.
