An ammonia carton freezer is a specialized industrial freezer that uses ammonia (NH₃) as the refrigerant to freeze large volumes of cartoned or boxed products (like meat, seafood, dairy) efficiently and uniformly. It is commonly used in food processing facilities to freeze products that are already packed in cardboard boxes or plastic crates. The key point is this storing technique stays at -30°C all the time providing much faster cooling than blast freezer. Therefore, this helps to keep the product quality higher. Also this is a fully automated system requiring very less labor.
